I static when sound is played, I have reinstalled drivers and card Has anyone a solution. I'm running XP Home P4 processor vidio and sound cards have been updated from Dell when I bought the system, and I did not have any additional hardware.

If you have installed the upgrade card and the sound was on the motherboard, elk, you may need to disable the BIOS and onboard sound type.
